The Holiday Season

Now that it's the holiday season I will be a little busy and won't be able to post as many articles as I would like to, so please hold with my while I am spending the holiday's with friends and family and trying to catch up with them.  But since it is the holiday season I will be posting my list of the top 10 must have tech gifts that any tech savvy person in your life will love.

New Stuff In Store For Gizmo Ninja

First of all I would like to say I am still planning on changing my blog name and getting my own domain address sometime after the first of the year.  As soon as that happens you will all know about it.  Second I would like to say that I am going to be posting more videos from sites like YouTube, Vimeo, and college humor and making reviews on those and comments.  I will also start to post my own videos that are related to my blog and will let you know when you can subscribe to my youtube blogs.  Finally I will be starting to post things such as free ipod touch/iPhone apps and free stuff you get get, that I find worthy enough to let you all know about them.

None Tech Related Business

I know I haven't posted any new updates on the latest and greatest Apple products or Microsoft Products and it's because there hasn't really been anything going around the tech world.  But i have been hearing rumors going around that haven't been confirmed yet that Apple is coming out with a 2nd gen iPad with a front and rear facing camera.  The rumors are saying that the new iPad would be a whole lot smaller and thinner with various other updates.  But keep in mind folks these are just rumors; like when Apple said they were finally coming out with the white iPhone4 and that never happened, but rumor has it that the white iPhone4 is coming to a store near you sometime this spring.  We'll have to see how both of these rumors go.  As far as Microsoft goes well you all know that the Kinect has finally been released a while ago and that the various cell phone companies are starting to roll out the Windows7 phone; and that is about all Microsoft has going for them right now.  But I would expect to start hearing about the newest Microsoft product come spring time so I will let you all know whenever I hear something.  I'm not just an Apple fanboy I also like some of the Microsoft products so don't worry I will cover both.  But I will cover Apple just a little bit more since I am more of an Apple fan.

Playing Home Made PVC Instrument

You all should watch this video of this guy who made himself a instrument at home out of some pvc and in this video he is performing at his college talent show.  It looks awesome and sounds great.  This guy really has some talent with his instrument.  This instrument was inspired by the Blue Man Group.

iPhone 4 In White

I was trying to figure out if Apple will actually release the white iPhone 4, since it has been months since the iPhone 4 was released.  My thoughts on this that if and when they decide to release the white one it won't be until June or July when Apple usually has there big iPhone event.  Where they release an update to the iPhone or announce they they have a new one coming out.  But There will not be a new iPhone coming out for awhile since the iPhone 4 was just released this summer.  Keep your eyes peeled for when they announce the release of the white iPhone 4.  As soon as I hear something about it, I will let you guys know.

Cyber Monday The New Black Friday

I am thinking that cyber Monday may be turning out to be the new black Friday.  I am thinking this because you don't have to leave the house and wait in lines at three of four in the morning in the cold and sometimes wet weather.  All you need to do is get out of bed, for most people with portable devices with internet capabilities they don't even have to get out of bed; but you do need to open your internet browser and go to whatever website you may choose that has those cyber Monday deals your looking for.  The same business that do black Friday deals usually do similar or even better deals on there website for cyber Monday.  The plus side to this whole cyber Monday thing is you don't even have to carry things around, that's what your virtual shopping cart is for.  But for most people black Friday is a tradition to get up at the crack of dawn and wait in lines at your favorite stores.  Which do you prefer?

Discovering New Things

So, today I was over reading Gizmodo and I saw this really cool lamp made out of an old iMac G4 and it was being sold on Etsy.  Then it got me to browse around the Etsy website and look at the other cool things they had on there.  I have been on Etsy before today but never thought they had cool things that guys would like to.  Last time I went to the website was when I first heard about it a little over a year ago and all they had were just these really girly items that no guy would be interested in.  Since about over a year ago it looks like things have really changed over at Etsy and it is a worthwhile site to check out.  They have really cool geeky shirts and geeky items that any geek would love.

IMPORTANT: NAME CHANGE

Due to someone stealing the name of blog and using it as there own domain name, this has prompted me to change the name of my blog, and sometime after the first of the year i will be switching to a custom domain and will not be using blogspot anymore.  However once i switch to a custom domain name my blogspot page will refer you to my new site.

Latest Apple Product Overview

The new Macbook Air is still the hot topic of the tech world, even though it was revealed a couple weeks ago.  Some facts and caparisons of the new Macbook Air.  "It is a whole lot cheaper", "much smaller and lighter", which would mean it's easier to handle and easier to get a hold of one since the price is better on the wallet.  "They have added the smaller 11inch Macbook Air", said by Cody Hays Consumer.  The size of the 11inch air is in between the sizes of a netbook and a laptop, it should have it's own name for something in between but for now we will just call in the baby air.

Apple has a brand new OS X called Lion. It's not out yet, but we do know a little bit about the what will be inside of it.  The are making apps available for Lion to be able to use with any Apple Computer you may have that has Lion installed on it.  "You will be apple to put your apps into different folders; like you can on Apple's IOS 4 which is available on the iPhone and iPod touch."  Said by Apple Store Employee John Wheeler.  OS X Lion will take much less space to run on your hard drive and on your ram; therefore your computer will run more smooth.  

Within the next couple months or so Apple is releasing the update of IOS 4.2 for the iPad.  Which means they are going ahead and skipping a couple versions of the update and going straight to IOS 4.2 which will be the first for Apple with any of there i products.  

There are rumors of an iPhone coming to Verizon sometime in 2011.  But the bad part of this rumor is there is talk that Verizon wants to run there own operating system on the iPhone instead of Apple's already great IOS.

Macbook Air Revamped

The new Macbook Air looks similiar to the previous version, but now it is slimmer and looks a little more stylish.  Of course the new Macbook Air will come with the brand new version of Apple's Mac OS X Lion.  The Macbook Air isn't for your average user.  It is more for the person that likes the fact of owning a Macbook but does not need all of the bells and wistles that the Macbook and Macbook Pro have to offer.

The new Mac OS X Lion is finally here. Lion will be going in a direction that the iPad has gone.  Just like the ipad the new operating system will be able to have apps.  Apple will be introducing a new part of apps for the new Mac operating system.  It is the step that Apple needed to take in order to be the front runner and ahead of there game like they have been getting.  Since we are on the topic of new software; Apple has introduced there revision of there widely popular iLife'11.  The new iLife now has different elements in it's program that will take over your entire screen in order to perform a certain function.  If you were asking yourself if the new iLife'11 will have apps there will be able to integrate with the the software; then your answer is yes.  The new app store for the Mac will be coming out in 90 days.  So you will have to hold your patience just a little bit longer.

Apple Event "Back to the Mac"

Apple is hosting a "Back to the Mac" event on Wednesday October 20th.  By the looks of it they will most likely introducing there brand new OS X.  The website Gizmodo is hoping that the new OS X will be called Simba.  I doubt it but you never will know with Apple.  Rumors are that the new Macbook Air will also be revealed along side the new OS X.  There could also be something bigger to be revealed. Steve Jobs has said that "a few surprises left" for this year.  We will be having updates all day during the Apple event this Wednesday.  Hopefully one of these day i will get invited to an Apple event and will be able to do live blogging.

Things that have been bugging me about Facebook

So lately I have been really bugged with how much Facebook has been lagging in many ways.  One of those ways is the way that when you are having a conversation with a friend via the instant message chat that sometimes when you move on to other things while having the conversation and come back to the conversation your entire conversation goes away and it's all white space and it take a couple minutes for you to see when the person last said and so you have to ask the person what they said again because you cannot see it.  Another thing that I find really annoying about Facebook is that when you are try to do too many things at once then Facebook just freezes up for about one minute and you can't do anything and it's really irritating since it should be able to handle everything that you are doing since they have so many servers to handle everything, you would thing that they have everything perfect.  I guess not...Well that is my rant and I think I am done for now.

Warm Laptops Could Pose Risk to Skin

According to experts if you put a warm laptop on your skin you could get some bad skin damage.  The skin damage could result in bad burns meaning you would need to go to the hospital to get them checked and fixed.  Who ever would have guessed this sort of thing beats me.  Well kids you best not put your laptop on your legs when using it or you could end up in the hospital one way or another.

Windows Phone 7 out of date

Will the windows phone 7 be out of date by the time they finally decide to release the phone.  I mean the phone has good intentions and it will be a nice change from all the android phones and iPhone we are used to seeing and using in our lives.  But the phones that are already out right now have the capabilities that the windows phone 7 will have.  I guess we will just have to wait and see when the phone comes out.  Who will be buying the new phone?

Soon to Come Windows 7 Phone

Microsoft just announced a few weeks ago that they are officially coming out with there own version of the iPhone. Now we all know that Microsoft will not be able to surpass the iPhone with the sale of there new phone potentially called Win7mobile or winzune. We really don't know the name yet but there is no other phone out there like the iPhone. By the looks of the new windows 7 phone i really was not too impressed by the layout and the functionality. The phone also seemed to be a little laggy at parts. But when the phone comes out I will have more information and more updates to bring to you.

iPad

It has been awhile since i last wrote something. I have been a little busy lately. So the iPad is the newest buzz that everyone is talking about and hyped about. I for one think that once it is realized will be very popular and hard to get your hands on one. They are really functional for when you are too lazy to lug around your laptop. Some people think oh they are just an over-sized iPod touch but it is not. It may have features similar to the iPod touch but they are different in there own way. They are also affordable if you want to buy a macbook but don't have enough money yet for one than you can go ahead and get the iPad.

Apple Tablet

The Apple tablet is Rumored to be released this weekend at Apple's special event. Speculations are that the tablet will look like an over sized iPod touch. I for one do not think the Apple Tablet will look like an over sized iPod touch and have it's own design. I don't know what that design would be i am just guessing that is not what it will be. If i am wrong it will still be an awesome tablet.

Rumor: "Xbox Natal"

There is a new Rumor going around that Microsoft will be releasing a beefed up Xbox 360 for the release of project Natal which is a motion sensor that will allow you to have games similar to Nintendo Wii. The Rumor is that they will be planning to release this beefed up Xbox 360 sometime later this year in 2010. My theory is that this new "Xbox Natal" would have a blue ray player. I would say it could have built in wireless but knowing Microsoft they most likely will still make you shell out $100 bucks for a network wireless adapter. Stay tuned for more rumors on this so called "Xbox Natal"

eReaders soon to be just another fad

As i was looking through everything that went down at CES 2010, this past weekend it occured to me that eReaders like Amazon's Kindle and Sony's eReader that they will soon be out of date and in the past. I know that when the Amazon Kindle first came out everyone wanted to get there hands on them and that is why they were sold out for days on end. but now that we have a nice piece of technology called iPhone there is really no need to have an eReader when you can just pick up your iPhone and read a book off of that. I know that is might not be the same quality or the same size but it is sure a lot cheaper that buying the Kindle and then having to pay for all of those books or magazines that you may want.
